The Great Royal Debate: Shall we shoot 'em or shall we hang 'em?

This was probably the best graffiti I have ever read while sitting on the 'throne' in a public convenience. Personally I would love to see the Royal Family re-housed in a council flat in Huddersfield. Don't ask me why.

Now I know people will say they don't want President Blair, but what they are really saying is that they don't want democracy. I'm with Morrissey on this one;

"The very idea of Charles being king is laughable. You might as well say that Ronnie Corbett will be king one day. I think that would give people more pleasure."

I suppose with the undemocratic House of the Lords to contend with and an electoral system that gives us a government elected by only 20% of the electorate, the Queen is the least of our worries!

  1. to link your two favourite things as Diderot said "man will never be free until the last King is strangled in the entrails of the last Priest"

  2. I suppose I could have said Rotherham or Bury or Blackburn or Middlebrough. These places are the worst places I have ever visited, Even worse than Walsall, hard to believe I know.

    It's some sort of fantasy of mine where the world is turned upside down a la the levellers.

    Nice quote.

    I remember the Great Royal Debate as graffiti in Brockwell Park Brixton. Class War is dead, long live class war
