To cheer us up here's a nice picture of Jesus and a monkey, any Christians wanna make a storm?

  1. He's not doing anything to the monkey - don't think Rowan Williams'll be preaching fire and brimstone over that!

  4. Isn't it great how Alistair Darling (in tehgrauniad) said "We've got to galvanise your own vote. Some people will have thought 'it's in the bag -- it's a safe Labour seat'." In other words, do more than send at least 15 MPs out campaigning during a vote on a manifesto issue.

Brilliant. They fight so hard they lose an easy vote in Westminster. Then they whine they didn't try hard enough in the by-election.

    Three little words.

    Blair. Must. Go.

dont read too much into a by election result allthough given the Toties abysmal performance it must be a good place to live.

  11. Anon: Perhaps the Lib Dems should not bother with a leader, you seem to do better without one. It would also help with fudging the issue over which policies you have. You could just be upfront about being the 'no policies at all but we oppose Labour and the Tories on everything unless it's currently popular' party.

  12. Stag: good to see the Tories in turmoil in Canada. Yet another election in a year eh. So much for FPTP stability!

  13. bradfordlabourdude: It is of our making, which means it is easy to turn this round if we get our shit together. Cameron or no Cameron, the people don't want the Tories!

  14. carry bag man: I think this byelection is significant. We can't pretend Labour (and Gordon Brown) is popular after this result.

As for the monkey being offended, well who wouldn't be offended having to stand next to the vicious racist that Jesus was.
