You don't have to be mad to be a Tory but...

I have always said 'you must be mad to give money to the Tories', now we have confirmation.

Apparently the Tories thought it perfectly reasonable that someone would give money to the Tories to help Margaret Thatcher 'save the world from satanic monsters'.

In his judgement Mr Justice Henderson said, Mr Kostic would not have left the money to the Tories if he had been "of sound mind".

I suppose being in the Tory party, it would have been difficult to single him out.

  1. I think the Tories lost credit (no pun intended) for letting this get to court.

  2. Tee hee, I must say. Now they know how UKIP must have felt all summer.

Anyway, Neil, contentwise, your blog leaves a lot to be desired, but I do like those little slidy boxes at the right, and the way the most recent comments show up. How d'you do this stuff?

  3. Mark, I agree, my content has not been so good lately (if ever?). Must up my game. I get loads of good ideas but never put it down, I forget them. Here is a good link that helps you add little features to your blog. Not too sure about the slidy boxes yet though, hmmm.

  4. The slidy boxes are really good, Longrider uses these as well, only it's a shame that the heading slides up with the actual list, so that when you are half way down you might forget what the list is of. Thanks for link, I shall investigate.

  5. Mark, yeah the titles are a problem. Longrider's method is better. Gonna have a play around with it.

  7. Funny that it's the mad ones who end up with all the money!

Neil, I can only assume that you would prefer all £8.3m to go to the treasury rather than the son!!!

  8. PS Thanks for the link for improving blogs!

  9. Neil, I used tips-for-new-bloggers, and there is a way to lock the heading (e.g. 'recent posts') at the top of the box, you have to stick in an extra two letters in the first or second line of code. As a complete novice, it only took me an hour to sort out scroll boxes yesterday evening. Thanks for tip.

  11. That's better. On 'Labels', have you thought about having them alphabetically rather than in order of how often you use them? That makes them easier to find, for you and for others.
