Make Votes Count at Conference Fringe.

MVC at the Fringe
We have an exciting line-up of debates and events arranged for the fringe programmes of this year's political conferences. If you would like to attend any of the events, please email malcolm@makevotescount.org.uk . All events are free and open to all;

TUC: Wed 14 September, 1-2pm, Quality Hotel, Brighton
"Should Unions Back Voting Reform?" Speakers: Jon Cruddas MP, John Lloyd (Community union), Ken Ritchie (Electoral Reform Society). Chair: Nina Temple (MVC).

Labour: Sun 25 September, 8.30pm-10pm, Royal Albion Hotel, Brighton
"Does the Voting System Threaten Labour?" Speakers: Robin Cook MP, John Denham MP, Fiona Mactaggart MP, Polly Toynbee (Guardian). Chair: David Lipsey (MVC).

Labour: Wed 28 September, 8.30pm-10pm, Royal Albion Hotel, Brighton
Reformers Reception. Hosted by Anne Campbell and Labour MP supporters of the campaign, and other organisation supportive of electoral reform.

Particularly at Labour's Conference the aim is to ensure the issue of voting reform is given as high a profile as possible. Thus we need people to help out leafleting delegates the day before / the day of the main 'electoral reform rally' on Sun 25 September, Brighton. If you are live nearby or are planning to attend anyway, please volunteer. Email malcolm@makevotescount.org.uk

Anybody fancy helping me hand out leaflets?
