After giving 100s of billions of pounds to fat cat bankers, the talk now is of a 2% GDP boost (£30bn) to the economy to avoid a possibility of a decade long deep depression.
This means we could give £5,000 each to the poorest 6 million people in this country - directly - just credit their bank accounts.
What better way to boost high street spending just before Christmas?
The poorest people tend not to have bank accounts. But I agree with the main redestributive thrust.
