US healthcare under the microscope.

The US spends two and a half times per capita what we do on health "yet it falls down in almost every key indicator of public health, starting, perhaps, most shockingly, with infant mortality, which is 36 per cent higher than in Britain".

The Independent has this excellent article exposing the reality of US healthcare. It is all in anticipation of the new Michael Moore film - 'Sicko' which comes out here on June 29th. GO AND SEE IT and then decide what you think of the NHS. There is a great piece on the NHS in this trailer.

Hope you liked it!! Sicko is a comedy about the 45 million people who have no health insurance in the richest country in the world and the many more millions who only get limited cover.
