Kinnock makes case for PR.

He also goes on to suggest the need for a bill of rights and decentralisation of power in this Herald article. Kinnock argues that declining turnout and the reduced share of the vote for the government means that the case for PR is stronger than ever.

This is spot on. The case for PR is now overwhelming and it is about time this Labour government woke up to the fact. Losing Robin Cook and Mo Mowlem (both strong advocates and long time campaigners for PR) was a blow but what a great legacy it would be if Labour gives us that long promised referendum that has appeared in successive manifestos! Let the people decide!

Hat tip: Make My Vote Count.
